Revelation
In the beginning, when God created the world and then rested on the 7th day, it symbolized the consummation of His perfected work, marking a completion. God created man on the 6th day, which signifies humanity's beauty and potential while also highlighting our imperfection and incompleteness. This imperfection was to be addressed by the coming of the "last Adam" and "second man," Jesus Christ, who would fulfill and perfect what was lacking in the first creation.
Vision
Hope is the essential ingredient to faith. As Hebrews 11:1 explains, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Faith is the proof of what we hope for and the certainty of our expectations. When hope fades, faith can diminish. However, we place our trust in God, who is ever-living and unchanging. Therefore, our hope remains alive and eternal, grounded in the certainty of God's promises.
Insight
Often, we struggle to hear from God because we lack understanding of how He communicates. In the past, God spoke through the prophets, but now, under the new covenant, He speaks to us through Jesus Christ, His Son. God has not ceased speaking into our time; He still desires to commune with us. However, God is sovereign and subject to no one. It is our responsibility to learn how God operates and functions on earth, and this understanding is revealed through Jesus.
